The entertainment industry is a never-ending gossip over the lives of stars, and one of those is probably the talked-about celebrity feuds of the 2010s. It was a decade where social media became the battleground that aired private disputes. Yup, we’re talking about diss tracks and physical confrontations at parties. Here are the 8 memorable celebrity feuds of the decade.
8. Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom

In the summer of 2014, eyewitnesses at Cipriani were shocked when Orlando Bloom threw a punch at Justin Bieber. Well, if you remember, their tension had been simmering since 2012 when Bieber was getting close to Bloom’s then-wife, supermodel Miranda Kerr, at a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Reportedly, the conflict started when Bieber allegedly made a crude remark about Bloom to Kerr. According to reports, Bieber attempted to shake Bloom’s hand, but the actor refused, which led to a confrontation. It ended with Bieber being escorted out.
7. Martha Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow

The tension between the two started in 2014 when Martha Stewart shared with Porter magazine that Paltrow should “be quiet.” Stewart added that if the actress was confident with her acting, she shouldn’t try to be Martha Stewart. The comment was actually directed to celebrity lifestyle brands. Paltrow then responded by hiring the former CEO of Stewart’s company, Lisa Gersh, to run Goop.
6. Meek Mill and Drake

In the summer of 2015, rapper Meek Mill tweeted an accusation about Drake for his alleged use of a ghostwriter for their collaboration. Drake responded strategically by dropping the diss track “Charged Up.” It’s about dismantling Mill with insults. The track actually earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance, which is a first for a diss track.
5. Katy Perry and Taylor Swift

In a 2014 Rolling Stone interview, Swift revealed that her song “Bad Blood” was about a female artist whom she claimed tried to sabotage her arena tour. The next day, Perry tweeted the line, Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…” The feud even played out in Perry’s 2017 Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, where she confirmed the backup dancer story. However, it seems like they fixed the feud in 2019 when Perry made a surprise cameo in Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down” music video.
4. Pusha-T and Drake

Back in May 2018, Pusha-T released the diss track “The Story of Adidon,” which is about a long-time feud with Drake that dated back to 2011. Pusha-T accused Drake of being a deadbeat dad and the shocking existence of his secret son, Adonis. The cover art for the track featured Drake in blackface, which Drake later defended and explained was a project about racial stereotyping. Drake later admitted that he had recorded a response but chose not to release it.
3. Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker

In 2010, co-stars in S*x and the City, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker started a public feud. But the conflict exploded in 2017 when the plans to make a third movie collapsed, with reports about Cattrall’s alleged demands. With that, Cattrall fired back in an interview with Piers Morgan, stating that she’s never been friends with her co-stars and that Parker should have been nicer. It reached a climax in 2018 when Cattrall’s brother died and Parker offered her condolences publicly. Catrall responded in an Instagram post about not needing Parker’s love or support at a tragic time while tagging her. She further said that she’s not her family nor a friend.
2. Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift

In 2016, a feud between Kanye West and Taylor Swift erupted when Kardashian poured gasoline on a Snapchat to “expose” Swift. She leaked edited clips of a phone call that showed Swift approving West’s controversial “Famous” lyrics. With that, Kardashian’s fans flooded Swift’s social media with snake emojis. Swift disappeared from the public eye for a year and came back in 2017 with the album Reputation that embraced the snake persona.
1. Cardi B and Nicki Minaj

Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have long been hinting at tension. However, it all erupted in Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party, where Cardi B was captured in a viral video of her being angry with Minaj’s comments about her parenting, and she threw a high-heeled shoe at her. Cardi B was escorted out of the party with a visible lump on her forehead.
