The most unique part is its rooms, which are in a transparent, eco-friendly bubble where you get a natural experience of the world outside while feeling comfortable. Each bubble is climate-controlled and gives you a panoramic view of the forest with the gentle sounds of nature. It’s a hotel room you can’t get elsewhere.

It’s a boutique hotel organized as a library with 10 floors belonging to major categories of the Dewey Decimal System. You can enjoy exploring 6,000 books throughout the hotel, with each room featuring a curated collection of literature on a specific topic you can read. 5. Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort (Finland)

The resort features a glass igloo that will let you watch the aurora borealis dance in the night sky from your bed. Don’t worry, the thermal glass roofs are designed to be frost-free for a crystal-clear view of the light show. 

4. Icehotel (Sweden)

Located in the small village of Jukkasjärvi, Sweden, is the famous Icehotel. Since the Torne River freezes over the winter, artists from around the world gather to build the Icehotel. It’s a hotel and art exhibition in one made entirely of snow and ice. It was first built in 1989 as the world’s original ice hotel and rebuilt to a new design every year. Guests can sleep in their art suites on beds that are covered in reindeer hides while feeling cozy in a thermal sleeping bag.

3. Hotel Gracery Shinjuku (Japan)

In Tokyo’s Shinjuku district, you’ll find a hotel that’s a pure pop culture icon. The Hotel Gracery Shinjuku, known as the Godzilla Hotel, has a life-sized Godzilla head roaring at its 8th-floor terrace. You can choose to book a Godzilla View Room, which puts you face-to-face with the King of the Monsters. Meanwhile, the immersive Godzilla Room is filled with the film’s memorabilia and special effects. The entire hotel has a monstrous theme going on as they pay tribute to the Japanese monster.

Looking at the older hotels, experience this 1958 landmark of Madonna Inn located in San Luis Obispo, California. It features 110 guest rooms with their own extravagant theme. You can choose from their available rooms of the Caveman Room, Love Nest, and Just Heaven, which are decorated with ‘50s interior. It’s like stepping back in time!

Now you may want to head over to Pemba Island in Tanzania and book a stay at The Manta Resort. The cool part? It’s a room in the ocean. Yup, the resort has an exclusive Underwater Room, which is a three-level floating suite in the Indian Ocean. There’s a bedroom four meters below the surface, as you’re surrounded by glass and watching the marine life swimming like in their natural habitat. At nighttime, underwater spotlights surround the water to attract nocturnal sea creatures.
